PetAmaze Joint Care Daily Chews have officially earned The Dog Trainer School Recommended Product status following an eight-week real-world trial with dogs from across the TDTS community.

Joint supplements are commonly used both for dogs experiencing stiffness or reduced mobility and proactively as part of longer-term joint care. We wanted to find out how the PetAmaze chews performed in everyday life, looking not only at changes owners noticed in their dogs, but also palatability, ease of use, value for money and whether testers would actually recommend them.

How were PetAmaze Joint Care Daily Chews tested?

The chews were tested for approximately eight weeks, following the recommended daily feeding guidance.

The trial included 30 dogs across a range of ages, breeds, sizes and existing mobility levels. Some were already experiencing stiffness or mobility issues, while others were using the supplement preventatively as part of their ongoing joint care.

At the end of the trial, testers completed detailed feedback covering everything from how willingly their dog ate the chews to any changes they noticed in mobility, stiffness, activity and comfort.

Did dogs actually like the chews?

For the majority, yes.

The chews achieved an overall 87.2% palatability score, with 80% of survey respondents giving the maximum 10/10 when asked how willingly their dog ate them.

They were also incredibly straightforward to incorporate into daily routines, achieving an impressive 99.2% score for ease of use. All respondents said the feeding instructions were easy to understand and the recommended daily amount felt practical.

Did testers notice a difference in their dogs?

As you would expect with a joint supplement, experiences varied depending on the individual dog and their starting point.

Some testers reported noticeable improvements including reduced stiffness, easier movement after resting, increased activity and a greater willingness to play. Dogs without existing joint or mobility issues weren't necessarily expected to show an obvious change during the eight-week period, with some testers instead choosing to use the chews for ongoing preventative support. Were there any negatives?

The majority reported no unwanted effects, but several dogs experienced digestive issues such as softer stools or an upset stomach. Some testers also commented on the smell, while cost was raised as a consideration for larger dogs or multi-dog households.

Despite this, the product scored 90% for value for money, with testers highlighting the ingredients, ease of use and pricing compared with other joint supplements.
