This two-day Scent Sports Weekend introduces you and your dog to three outdoor scent disciplines: tracking, trailing, and area search. Across the weekend you’ll learn how to lay and run footstep tracks, work with scent articles, develop effective long-line handling, and deploy your dog in structured area searches for a hidden person, all while building your ability to read your dog’s behaviour in real working environments. The weekend is suitable for complete beginners through to more experienced handlers, with both working and spectator spaces available. We’ll be joined by Adrienne Wisok (USA), who will be supporting handlers throughout the weekend and bringing her extensive experience across these scent sports disciplines. HANDLER SPACES SOLD OUT

4th & 5th July
Lincolnshire: 10 am -4 pm. Ogilvie Dog Barn
Join us for a full weekend of practical Scent Detection training with Adrienne, during her final UK visit of the year from the USA.
This weekend is designed to be fun, practical, and suitable for a wide range of experience levels. If you’re already on the Approved Scent Coach course, we’ll be building on concepts and exercises from inside the programme, but you absolutely do not need to be on the course to attend. Everyone is welcome.
One of the biggest benefits of working with Adrienne is her fresh perspective on scent training. Her approach differs quite significantly from how scent is often taught here in the UK, making this a brilliant opportunity to explore different handling skills, problem-solving approaches, training exercises, and ways to make scent more engaging, practical, and rewarding for both dogs and handlers.
Throughout the weekend, we’ll be covering practical scent detection exercises, training progression, search challenges, and real-world applications, alongside lots of ideas you can take away and apply to your own training, classes, or clients.
Spaces are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone. HANDLER SPACES SOLD OUT

Peterborough: 7th November: 9 am - 5 pm
After the success of the last few years, we’re excited to announce that our Annual TDTS Forum is back this November.
This is a trainer support and business clarity day for dog trainers at any stage; whether you’re newly qualified, finding your feet, or already established and ready to make the business side feel easier and more intentional.
At The Dog Trainer School, we know most people come into this work because they want to help dogs and their owners, not because they want to become marketing experts or business strategists. The Forum is designed to make that side of things feel clearer, calmer, and more manageable.
You’ll leave with simple ideas you can implement straight away, longer-term direction for the year ahead, and the chance to talk openly with other trainers about what’s working (and what isn’t).
We’ll be joined by a small group of guest speakers, including Ricky (The Canine Copywriter), Katie Ford (Vet Empowered), Holly (the vet) and Jen (social media), alongside sessions from the TDTS team. More details to follow.
It’s a supportive, practical day focused on helping you feel more confident in your business and making 2027 feel clearer, calmer, and more achievable.
Everyone Welcome - Early Bird Offer £85 RRP £110

“Another great day spent with The Dog Trainer School at the members forum. So informative and a breath of fresh air to realise all the lovely like-minded trainers are feeling the same challenges as me.” -Gary, Nov 2024
