The Dog Trainer School Year of Reactivity is all about supporting trainers in helping reactive dogs and their owners.
Reactivity can be a tricky and often emotional challenge, and we want to make sure trainers feel confident and equipped to work through it. That is why our ‘Approved Reactivity Coach Programme’ is packed with practical resources, expert insights, and support to help you make a real difference.

You can now join us on the self-paced course and complete it at your own convenience.
The Year of Reactivity offers different levels of participation to meet your goals and needs.
For those looking to deepen their expertise, we are offering the opportunity to become a TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach.
This online programme is split into two Levels with modules, expert guidance from our guest instructor Adrienne Wisok, and assessments. Upon completing the programme and passing the assessments, you will earn recognition as a TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach (Level 1 or 2). You'll also unlock exclusive benefits, such as a listing on our website (so long as you remain a member of The Dog Trainer School).
The TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach Programmes are offered at a considerable discount to TDTS Members. You'll also find lots more supporting resources to help you with these programmes within the members area.

Adrienne Wisok
Adrienne Wisok, MS CVT KPA-CTP, is a highly experienced dog trainer and veterinary professional with over 20 years in the field.
She specializes in scent work, search and rescue, and working with reactive dogs, blending her scientific background with practical expertise.
Adrienne is co-founder of K9 Translations, where she teaches innovative courses in reactivity, scent detection and dog behaviour, with a passion for helping trainers support dogs with behavioural challenges.
The Dog Trainer School Approved Reactivity Coach Level 1
The Approved Reactivity Coach – Level 1 programme is an in-depth, evidence-based journey through the science and practice of canine reactivity. Designed specifically for professional trainers, it combines behavioural theory, emotional understanding, and hands-on application to help you confidently assess, manage, and support reactive dogs in both one-to-one and group settings.
The Dog Trainer School Approved Reactivity Coach Level 2
Level 2 will build on the knowledge gained in Level 1 by examining more advanced cases, including how to introduce scent to your reactive clients. It will provide a deeper exploration of how enrichment can be utilized with reactive dogs and focus on setting up, delivering, and running successful reactive dog training classes.

How do I access the Course?
All modules are available self-paced in our online programme. Once you have completed a Module, the next module will become unlocked.
If I sign-up to Level 1 can I purchase Level 2 at a later date?
Yes, you can purchase and complete Level 1 first and after successfully completing and passing you, can purchase Level 2.
The cost of Level 2 is £45 when purchasing separately. Save £50 when you purchase 1 & 2 together.
Who can join the program?
Anyone can sign up; however, TDTS Members will receive a substantial discount. The programme is open to professional dog trainers who want to expand their expertise in reactivity and improve their ability to work with clients facing reactivity challenges. Whether you're new to dog training or have years of experience, the programme is designed to accommodate various skill levels.
What is the TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach Programme?
The TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach Programme is designed to help dog trainers specialise in working with reactive dogs. It offers structured training through modules that cover key aspects of reactivity, from understanding triggers to implementing behaviour modification strategies. By completing the programme, trainers can become a "TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach"
How is the programme structured?
The programme is divided into two levels with 4 to 5 modules in each Level. Each module is unlocked on completion of the previous module. As part of the basic Dog Trainer School membership, you'll have access to reactivity resources and expert chats. If you wish to become a TDTS Approved Reactivity Coach, you can work through the levels and complete the tasks.
Do I need to complete all levels to become an Approved Reactivity Coach?
You will be listed as either a Level 1 or Level 2 Approved Coach, depending on which Levels you complete. You will also need to complete all Tasks and receive an average pass rate of 80%.
How long will it take to complete the programme?
The time it takes to complete the programme depends on your pace and availability. The course is available to you in a self-paced format, allowing you to digest the material and apply your learning as you progress. There is a wide variety of tasks to complete in this course, which means it will likely take you several months.
Will I have access to ongoing support?
Yes, throughout the programme, you will have access to expert support via quarterly reactivity clinics and a dedicated private Facebook group. This community provides a space to share challenges, seek advice, and continue learning. You will also have support available from the course tutors.
How do I become an Approved Reactivity Coach?
To become an Approved Reactivity Coach, you need to complete all the modules, pass all the assessments, and meet the programme's standards. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate, and your name will be listed on the TDTS website as an Approved Reactivity Coach.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up directly through The Dog Trainer School website. To get The Dog Trainer School Members discount, you will find links in the member's area. Upon payment, you will receive access to Level 1, Module 1.

Yes, you can sign up at any time.
What's the difference between Level 1 & 2?
Level 1 will provide an introduction to working with reactivity with a focus on working with 1:2:1 clients . Level 2 will advanced on the skills and knowledge of Level 1 whist also guiding you through setting up, delivering and running successful Reactivity Classes.
